About me and Metagame

Hello, I'm Chris — and I have a bit of a problem writing this page. What should I call myself? It seems a bit of a stretch to call myself a photographer, writer, runner, or even a traveler. I don't think I measure up.

And on the other hand, amateur photographer, writer, etc. — it sounds somewhat condescending and self-derogatory. Also not what I'm going for here.

So what about hobbyist?

Yeah, I think that's fitting. And hobbies seem like a bit of a lost art these days. Everything is now optimized, monetized, and formatted to please Google's and Facebook's algorithms.

Not here, not today.

Consider METAGAME a place to explore hobbies. Photography, tech, gaming, travel, and writing.
